SSL or Secure Socket Layer is actually a protocol that manages security issues on Internet. Data transmission where login, username and password is required can be done in secure way with the help of this protocol.

Methods to fix the SSL Connection Error
Depending upon the actual cause of problem, you can use the below mentioned solutions to fix the SSL connection error.
1. Solution to Time and Date sync problem
Every system must have correct date and time information as it can be tracked by many websites for authentication purposes. Websites like Facebook and Google usually checks the time and date of every system for their security purposes.
If any problem occurs in this information the SSL certification for that browser is blocked by that website which leads to SSL connection error on the browser.
One solution can be this, as whenever such error arises make sure you check your system settings. Correct the information and reload the Google chrome browser. If this would be the reason, error is solved!
2. Solution, if Antivirus is the reason
There are multiple antivirus software available in the market, everyone with their own strategy to deal with the security of your system. Many antivirus software have their individual firewall system that usually blocks all the encrypted websites from getting accessed through your system.
During this procedure, sometimes these antivirus software came across socket security layers available in browsers by default and they block those certificates which cause SSL connection errors.
All you need to do is tell the antivirus software not to scan encrypted websites and you are good to go. Follow these rules properly:
- Make sure all your browsers are closed and then open control panel of the particular antivirus software installed in your system.
- Select tab “Network” from “Advanced settings” in the control panel and look for any encrypted scan settings. Uncheck the “scan encrypted settings” that can allow every website to open.
- Simply apply the changes and re-launch the browser to check for the result.
3. Change Internet Settings
SSL connection errors have many reasons for their occurrences; one of them can be the problem that arises in the Internet settings.
Convert URL starting with http:// to https:// as changing protocols can help website to dodge the issues.
Directly changing Google chrome settings can also help. Follow these steps:

Now you can close the Chrome window and relaunch it.
